He glances briefly at Mikelo's waist and the hands on the Seraph's shoulders twitch with the urge to make sure this was his Mikleo with another tickle attack until he notices something of interest- ]

[While seraphim's appearances are based on their own thoughts, it's kinda... an overtime thing. Stuff like this is too sudden and has to be handled the human way!

For now, he ignores the jerk comment as he starts planning Sorey's new look. That is until, Sorey distracts him as always. He can feel heat rush to his cheeks, and he tilts his head away in a poor attempt to hide it.]

Of course I did. [Despite his embarrassment, his reply is quite heartfelt.] Someone had to keep it safe for you and I wasn't about to trust Edna.

[It's a feather, Mikleo. He wouldn't have missed it. Honestly, he kept it for his own sake, so Sorey would always be with him.]

[ His hand goes up to twist the now shoulder length ends between his fingertips, looking away because despite how much heart is on his sleeve, it's still embarrassing to say.

Sorey hadn't really noticed he had grown too, he honestly hadn't expected too; his clothes had felt a little tight but that was a paltry issue in the face of the thrill of exploring a whole new era of the world -- of finding his best friend. ]

Is it really that bad? I'm not uncomfortable? Unless I'll scare people there isn't really a point in changing. It's like my signature look now. How else will people know it's really me when I shout out " Ta-dah! Legendary Shepard Sorey is back with all sorts of stories!"?

[He looks back to Sorey, smiling. There's this weird... pang in his heart that's really good and also really bad? What are feelings. He hates them.]

[That's enough feelings for now, as his expression shifts to something a little more tired. Still happy, but! Just right back to dealing with Sorey.]

It's... Let's just say you might be better off going with Zaveid's fashion choices. [Quickly he adds,] I mean, um... the Shepherd should at least be presentable, right? I'm sure we can find something "worthy" of Shepherd Sorey that also fits him properly.

[Please don't actually go the Zaveid route, Sorey.]

Anyways, does the Legendary Sub Lord Mikleo get to hear any of these stories? Or will I have to wait with everyone else?

[ Even Mikleo's awkward rush to change the subject doesn't wipe the smile and the fluttering feeling of happiness away and he rushes forward with the conversation, like his mouth is making up for lost time by spewing out the words as fast as it can. ]

I don't think I could handle being shirtless everywhere! Too cold and too much skin exposed to things like oil when you're cooking, and itchy foliage, and acid rains, and bug bites-

[ He stops listing things when it's clear Mikleo has rolled his eyes and made the I'm-not-listening-but-actually-I-am-but-you've-said-enough face and steps forward. Bumping Mikleo's forehead with his. ]

Legendary Sub Lord Mikleo was there for most of the interesting ones. The rest was just...a very long, weird nap with an ancient Empyrean that involved a lot of talking about things...

I don't think a shirt is going to protect you from acid rain, Sorey...

[No more shirtless talk, though. Despite Sorey's general attitude towards it, Mikleo's eyes light up when he mentions an Empyrean. While of course, it's not fun Sorey was napping for so long, he's back now so it's cool?]

An Empyrean? Is that what Maotelus calls himself? Wait, Sorey, did you actually speak with Maotelus?! What was he like? You must've learned a great deal from him, right? About the Shepherds, and past civilizations! He's one of the oldest and most powerful seraphim! I can't imagine the wisdom he has to share...

[ He lets the corners of his mouth twitch into a semi-frown when Mikleo starts up about Maotelus. He loves the guy (god?) -very fluffy and personable - but after a couple hundred years of him he's a little tired.

Still, Mikleo hardly gets this excited and when he does it's hard not to get swept up in it. ]

I keep forgetting you weren't there with me....But, yes. Actually, I spent most of my time asleep talking to him.

[ He laughs a bit, not wanting to ruin Mikleo's image of Maotelus with talks of fluffy hair and roping him games of I spy that always revolved around something green. ]

He was a lot friendlier than I thought he was going to be and...he was sorry. About everything we went through.

[It's weird to think of like your god being sorry, and especially being sorry for you. But Maotelus is just another seraph technically so he must have thoughts and feelings like everyone else.]

I don't know what he has to be sorry for. It's not like he could've predicted or prevented Michael from doing what he did...

Still, I wish I could have been there. It's not everyday you get to talk to- Or... I guess it was, huh? Even so, there's a lot we don't understand about the five Lords. I'm sure later you'll be able to shed some light on it all for us. Although for now, I should probably be catching you up... Right.

[Realizing he's rambling, his cheeks flush slightly as he gets himself back on track.]
