if you're eleanor's brother then i get all the other brothers

[Considering her awful nature and all that, it's surprising how long it's been since she's fought a daemon on her own. But everyone else was asleep back at the inn and even if she was supposed to be taking a peaceful walk outside, it wasn't like she was just going to run. She'd devour this daemon just like any other. Or so she thought, until some weird guy popped up and started fighting the daemon with her. There wasn't time to talk then, and she focused on her target instead. Still, he couldn't be an exorcist. He wasn't a Bloodwing either, so what? A mercenary?

As the daemon falls to the ground, she approaches it. Her arm bursts from its wrappings, quickly consuming the monster. All too casually, she looks to to her apparent savior.]

That wasn't necessary.

[She spits out, but it's not the rudest of greetings at least.]

Who are you.

[ his disinterested glower becomes something of a smirk as she speaks. it's not exactly what one would call friendly, and seems to borne from amusement more than anything. ]

I'm aware.

[ what a strange world, he thinks. ]

Don't ask as though it matters. I've no place in this world. More importantly: you're not human, right? You're nothing like any of the others I've come across.

Hah! Your bravado is endearing. Your kin are usually more subtle than this.

[ he furrows a brow. demon. nothing like the sort his family had contracted with, it seemed. she looked young -- and she certainly acted the part! ]

I owe you nothing. If it's a fight you desire, I'll be certain to provide.

[ he simpers at the sight of her arm -- or rather, the mass it's now become. disappointment washes over him as she turns around. ]

Yes, I'm fortunate. To be at the mercy of a teenager parading as a demon...I don't know how I'll ever repay you.

[ trees block their path from a short distance. he takes a pronounce step ahead of her, his sword now in hand, and burns their surroundings to the ground in a single, fluid motion. ]

Oh, that should be enough I suppose. More importantly: I have a question. Who is this Abbey you speak of?
