[It's not often they have downtime, especially on the road. But Laphicet really wanted to eat three big plates of Mabo Curry, and then he really needed to rest because he made himself sick eating so much. Since their little crew would be in Loegres longer than expected, Velvet had dragged Eleanor along to do some chores, and to keep an eye on her in the capital. Of course, those chores weren't exactly... normal chores.

Velvet exits the dressing room, now wearing a simple red dress. It's a mix of feminine and practical style, and something that doesn't... necessarily suit her. But that might just be because she's always wearing that same outfit from the prison. She gives a halfhearted turn before looking to Eleanor.]

[ she feels like she's just had the wind kicked right out of her-- and if she said as much she's sure Velvet would take the opportunity to make the phrase literal. ]

You look-- [ it's strange, because despite being the one who'd offered to turn Velvet's ensemble into something more.. normal, it's still a little bizarre to see.] Uncomfortable.

[ she finds herself raising her palms, flailing them about as she tries to mitigate whatever offense she might have just caused. ]

[She scowls, though for once the expression isn't necessarily aimed at Eleanor.]

[Okay, she's sort of exaggerating, or definitely exaggerating, but even if she wasn't the Lord of Calamity, she wouldn't like wearing dresses.]

This is pointless...

[Velvet turns back to face the dressing room, about to go change into her normal clothes. But she smirks, and although her face is hidden away, her tone makes everything clear.]

Although I guess it's not as pointless as you trying to act mature... Sigh...
